NTG Nordic Transport Group appoints Diederick de Vroet as CEO of Air & Ocean

NTG Nordic Transport Group (“NTG”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Diederick de Vroet as CEO of its Air & Ocean division.
Diederick de Vroet is an accomplished leader with a diverse international background in freight forwarding. His career is distinguished by numerous senior leadership roles across Europe and Asia, with a proven track record of driving growth through commercial excellence and his extensive experience in developing air and ocean product and procurement frameworks.
Distinguished track record within the industry
Diederick began his career at Kuehne+Nagel in Rotterdam, before spending a decade in Asia, where he held various commercial, operational, and leadership positions, most recently as branch district manager for Beijing, Tianjin, and Changchun.
Upon his return to Europe, Diederick held senior roles within Kuehne+Nagel’s European ocean freight division, based in both the Netherlands and the UK. After two decades with Kuehne+Nagel, he joined Damco in Denmark as Head of Global Ocean Freight, before moving to DB Schenker in Germany as Senior Vice President of Global Ocean Freight.
Diederick later rejoined Kuehne+Nagel, most recently serving as Managing Director for the Netherlands, where he oversaw all transport and logistics operations across 24 locations with more than 3,500 employees. Prior to joining NTG, Diederick was Managing Director and co-owner of a Dutch wholesale business.
Strengthening NTG’s leadership team
Diederick’s extensive international expertise in all facets of global freight forwarding positions him as a valuable addition to NTG’s leadership team. He will play a pivotal role in driving the continued global expansion of NTG’s Air & Ocean division.

Diederick joins NTG today, 20 January 2025, and will be based in NTG’s offices in the Netherlands and Denmark.
