Senior Financial Controller – Group Finance

As Senior Financial Controller, you will be a key contributor to ensuring high‑quality internal and external reporting across the Group, while also playing an important role in developing our controlling framework, internal controls and accounting processes. 

You’ll be part of Group Finance at our headquarters in Hvidovre, working closely with engaged colleagues who value professionalism, collaboration and a pragmatic approach to complex financial matters – and who share a strong ambition to move the finance function forward. 

Your role 

In this role, you will work broadly across financial reporting, controlling and development tasks, including: 

• Ensuring correct internal and external group reporting in accordance with IFRS, incl. quarterly and annual reports 

• Preparation of local statutory accounts in accordance with the Danish Financial Statements Act (ÅRL) 

• Further development of NTG’s controlling framework and financial processes 

• Coordination and ongoing dialogue with external auditors 

• Implementation of new IFRS standards and interpretations 

• Maintenance and development of the financial accounting manual 

• Preparation of opening balances in connection with acquisitions 

• Strengthening and improving existing internal controls

Your financial DNA 

You bring solid financial insight and a strong sense of responsibility, combined with a natural curiosity and comfort taking ownership of complex challenges. Your experience may come from a Senior Financial Controller role or a similar position, or from a strong foundation in a Big4 environment with audit experience.

What matters most is a solid understanding of IFRS, even if you’re not an expert in every standard. Experience from previous controller roles is an advantage but not a requirement, and familiarity with areas such as income taxes or business combinations is considered a plus. 

You thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift and the pace can be high, while remaining focused and dependable when plans change. You’re motivated by continuous professional development and bring a structured yet pragmatic approach to your work.

Most importantly, you have a strong interest in IFRS and take ownership of ensuring a robust and consistent application of the standard. You enjoy improving existing processes, are curious about how digital tools and AI can support smarter finance processes, and are keen to contribute to the continued development of our financial reporting framework.
