Your role as Head of Compliance in NTG
We are currently looking for a Head of Compliance to join Group Legal.
Your key responsibilities as our new colleague will include:
- Leading and developing NTG's compliance strategy and programmes, including with respect to policy management, data protection and privacy, anti-bribery and corruption, human rights, and competition law.
- Managing and developing NTG's third party due diligence programme, including trade sanctions and export controls compliance.
- Managing NTG's whistleblower programme, including leading and supporting on internal investigations as required.
- Developing and delivering compliance training (in-person and e-learnings) and related awareness and guidance materials.
- Managing risk processes.
- Periodic reporting to Executive Management, the Board of Directors and external auditors.
Your work will be carried out in close cooperation with the rest of the dynamic NTG Group Legal department of 8 FTEs. Further, you will have a unique opportunity to expand your non-legal skills and knowledge through interaction with colleagues with different nationalities and professional backgrounds. In the position you will have exposure to key executive, administrative, and commercial functions in NTG.
You will report to the Group General Counsel. Willingness to travel around 10-15 days a year will be required.
Your qualifications
We are looking for someone who has experience building, managing and/or developing compliance programmes in a global organisation.
The ideal candidate:
- Holds a Master of Laws (cand.jur.) or equivalent applicable legal, business, financial or recognised compliance qualification
- Has 6+ years’ experience in the compliance field
- Experience with business ethics and legal compliance, preferably on an international level
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards
- Proven track record of handling and prioritizing complex legal and compliance issues and managing compliance programmes
- Proven track record of conducting training across multiple group entities and advising on sanctions and data privacy (amongst others)
- Comfort working with all levels of an organization, setting priorities, and managing multiple demands
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, with strong initiative, flexibility, and business judgment
- Is able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels in our organization in a clear and concise manner
- Experience from the transport or maritime industry is a plus but not a requirement.
