Head of Enterprise Data Platform – Group IT

We’re looking for a Head of Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) to lead the transformation of our data landscape – building the platform, structure and governance that will support a more connected and data-driven business.

NTG’s IT environment spans multiple business areas, platforms, and local requirements across more than 26 countries. Each system has its own roadmap and pace of change, but they all need to function as a stable, coherent ecosystem that can support NTG’s continued growth.

About the role

The Enterprise Data Platform is not just about reporting. It’s the backbone for how we work with data across NTG – from decision-making to automation and AI.

As Head of EDP, you will define how data is structured, governed and used across NTG – building a scalable platform that connects systems, enables consistent insights and supports the shift towards more advanced, data-driven operations.

As part of the IT management team, reporting directly to the CIO, you will play a key role in establishing the foundation for how NTG works with data – including creating a single, trusted source of truth.

While you set the direction, you’ll stay closely connected to the platform and/or the semantic layer thus if needed working hands-on with development, operations and analytics to ensure that what we build is both scalable and works in practice.

Your key responsibilites

• Defining and executing the overall EDP strategy, ensuring strong alignment between business needs and data capabilities
• Building and scaling a modern data platform (Microsoft Fabric/Azure) with a focus on standardisation, scalability and long-term sustainability
• Establishing a clear and governed data architecture – covering ingestion, transformation, deployment and CI/CD – that supports both analytics and AI use cases
• Creating a robust reporting and semantic layer that enables consistent, reliable insights across the organisation
• Driving the shift from traditional reporting to real-time, predictive and AI-enabled decision support
• Setting the direction for governance, standards and ways of working, ensuring high quality, accessibility and trust in data across NTG

What it takes to navigate this role

You’re an experienced leader within data platforms, engineering and analytics, with the ability to set direction and turn it into execution.

You’re comfortable owning both strategy, architecture and governance – while staying actively involved in the work, ensuring what’s being built actually works in practice.

You take accountability seriously, follow through on commitments and create momentum across your organisation. At the same time, you build a culture of ownership, where standards, scalable solutions and high data quality are non-negotiables.

You know how to connect business needs with technical solutions, and you bring stakeholders along by making complex topics clear and actionable.

You value structure and governance, but you combine it with a pragmatic, people-oriented approach that makes change stick.

You are fluent in English, and Danish is considered an advantage.
