The AP & GL Team Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring high-quality delivery of both Accounts Payable and General Ledger processes. The role ensures accurate and timely financial processing, compliance with internal controls, and strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. A key objective is to drive standardization and efficiency across both domains, supporting reliable financial reporting and smooth month-end close cycles.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable:

  • Oversee invoice receipt, validation, and posting (PO and non-PO)
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment runs aligned with payment terms
  • Manage vendor onboarding, queries, and master data accuracy
  • Oversee T&E claim processing in line with policies and audit standards
  • Monitor aging and accrual reports to ensure completeness
  • Ensure AP processes comply with internal controls and audit requirements

General Ledger:

  • Lead month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Review and approve journal entries, including recurring and manual postings
  • Coordinate intercompany reconciliation and settlements
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization and disposals
  • Ensure compliance with tax-related processes (e.g. VAT)
  • Support statutory, group, and ESG financial reporting
  • Manage chart of accounts and ensure consistency
  • Provide audit documentation and support external/internal audit requests
  • Maintain internal control procedures and ensure compliance with frameworks Skills & Experience
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end finance operations
  • Experience managing and developing finance teams
  • Deep knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS, GAAP)
  • Strong attention to detail and process discipline
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
