In addition to the Flexboxx system and standard corrugated cardboard packaging, the team at NTG Packaging Solutions focuses on so-called constructive packaging solutions. The product to be packaged is the primary focus. Our task is to optimally package the parts provided by the customer and protect them as best as possible for transportation. NTG works directly with corrugated cardboard producers and develops tailor-made solutions using the latest CAD systems. Parameters such as the size of the outer packaging are defined in advance, with a focus on optimizing cargo space. What mode of transport will be used? Truck, train, airplane, or sea container? Key factors such as corrosion protection or special packing simplifications (such as foldable loading ramps) are discussed in detail to ensure the best protection and easy handling.

The development of constructive packaging consists of four phases:

Phase 1 – Problem Analysis

All necessary information about the parts to be packaged is collected. The dimensions and quality of the outer packaging are determined, and specific customer requirements such as prints, loading flaps, or special protective films and padding are defined.

Phase 2 – Planning Phase

In close collaboration with corrugated cardboard and pallet manufacturers, we analyze and design a packaging sample for the future production series.

Phase 3 – Sampling

The sample is delivered by an NTG employee and tested on-site. Modifications are documented, and requests for changes are recorded. The result is processed into a pre-production run (a small-scale trial production).

Phase 4 – Testing Phase

The pre-production run is tested under real conditions; the boxes are filled and shipped. Final customer feedback is gathered, followed by any necessary minor adjustments. Finally, the packaging is fully designed and enters mass production.

Through long-term partnerships with manufacturers, our development team has in-depth market knowledge and can accurately assess the strengths and weaknesses of each supplier.

Only producers that meet the product’s requirements 100% are selected. Often, multiple suppliers are needed to offer an optimized cardboard product.

Another advantage is the option for demand-optimized delivery, guaranteeing minimal capital commitment costs. With a framework contract in place, individual deliveries are ordered and only those individual deliveries are invoiced.

This eliminates wasted storage space at production sites. NTG’s constructive packaging solutions also prevent over- or under-delivery, as seasonal production fluctuations can be smoothed out with appropriate stockpiling.

Many companies expect deliveries to different locations while maintaining consistent quality. Here, too, the NTG Group provides a significant advantage. With its own transport and logistics system, any location in Europe can be quickly reached. Regional stockpiling in EBREX warehouses or at NTG Group’s professional partners is also possible.
